Trying to upload *.mp4 or *.mov after a while it stopps and the uploading window is freezed

I'd like to show video (made by myself not from youtube or vimeo) as i do for pictures. That why I change for V2, maybe I do something wrong but what ?

Thanks. All the best !

How big is the file? Most hosts have a limit at 2MB. You can, upload to Youtube or Vimeo and then insert the video.

Coming, I hope within the month, will be the ability to load a large movie which you FTP to your site, into the database.

Loading large videos uploaded to your site will always be an issue - it's a hosting limitation.

Thanks very much for taking time to answer me.
YEs the video was bigger.
I used to load the video via FTP with no limitation. So I'm not sure to understand exactly.
So I'll try via Vimeo waiting for the coming plugin

Anyway, I'm a bit lost in the new Indexhibit but I'm glad to buy it and you made good job. Don't forget to have some rest... when everything's done !

Me again

I tried the vimeo plugin but I don't understand exactly how it works.
Is there a post about that ?
thanks

type the vimeo URL when prompted by the plugin—you can enter up to three at once. then specify the dimensions. your vimeo videos will then be loaded into the exhibit.

your videos will display different depending on the exhibit format.

public vimeo links show up no problem.

i privatize all my vimeo vids to only show up on my domain, and because they're private, the plugin can't pull a thumbnail for the exhibit, which results in a bunch of errors showing up on the page. but once the page is refreshed, the errors go away. additionally, you can replace the thumbnail for private videos to avoid the errors.

I didn't know that about the thumbnail gsla - I will fix that. Thanks for the tip!

fantastic. thanks Vaska.

to be more detailed:

yes, uploading a private video will yield a bunch of errors not only on the edit page, but also on any page that has traces of the exhibit—the exhibit page of course, but also a section page. refreshing any of those pages will remove the error messages, and in my experience, a blank black image will serve as a place holding thumbnail. that blank image can be easily replaced with an uploaded thumbnail.

I would like to know the video can show as a Visual index ?

monded / 2012-07-23 03:00:06

When I upload a video, 15.xMB...
It's succeed with Visual Index !!!!!!!
But when I click the thumb.
It 's showed the following error message....

Fatal error: Call to a member function add_lib_js() on a non-object in /home/content/65/8610665/html/ndxzsite/plugin/plugin.formats.php on line 144
