I'm starting from scratch, and no knowledge of making websites. I don't quite understand the requirements:
I have a domain name. I'm guessing what i need now is a server.
Is it possible to get a server that matches the requirements and works on a PC with Windows XP? Can anyone recommend one?
Are PHP4+, and MySQL 3.23+ pieces of software?! How do i get them?
The server must be an Apache/Linux setup. We have one recommendation in the Useful Threads post...we don't do recommendations around here because we can't support people and their hosts (we spend far too much time doing this already as it is). Otherwise, ask your friends/colleagues for recommendations.
Indexhibit will work with any modern browser...newer than IE7 will be ok. Firefox and Safari are preferred.
