Hi I found this thread: indexhibit.org/forum/thread/2495/
But I have ABSOLUTELY no clue how to use PHPmyadmin to do what he is saying. Any help? This is exactly the issue I need to resolve on my site.
Did you try the password reset scripts found in the Plugins section on the left?
Yes all I get is a HTTP Internal Server Error: The Page Cannot be Displayed - not sure why it won't open.
Are you sure the script is uploaded in the right spot?
If so, did you ask your host about this?
Hey thanks for the replies, I uploaded the script to naryn-davar.ca/ndxz-studio/site-reset.php to no avail. Not sure what I should even be asking my host. Sorry I am definitely out of my league here trying to get my homepage back together before too much time goes by. I wonder if you could explain how to use PHPmyadmin sufficient to follow the instructions in the link I posted above?
thanks!! getting desperate...
the url address to use in order to reset your password would be naryn-davar.ca/ndxz-studio/reset.php and not naryn-davar.ca/ndxz-studio/site-reset.php
The instructions here say site-reset.php is correct indexhibit.org/forum/thread/6409/
However I tried both and neither works - reset.php just gives me a 404 Page Not Found...
Any other ideas? Thanks a lot for the help so far.
this is the post that you should be looking at: indexhibit.org/plugin/legacy/password-reset/
If you get a "404 page not found" error then you have not uploaded the password reset script in the correct directory.
Ok - followed the instructions... reset my password but home page is still not there. I got the message "Looks OK"
Is there really no way for me to just replace the home page? naryn-davar.ca brings up the error page:
"Page not found error here.
Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for /home/naryn653/public_html/ndxz-studio/site//index.php in /home/naryn653/public_html/index.php on line 81
Warning: fread() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /home/naryn653/public_html/index.php on line 81
Warning: fclose() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /home/naryn653/public_html/index.php on line 82"
All the rest of my content is still there when I log in, just the homepage is missing.
Huh? did you login to your backend naryn-davar.ca/ndxz-studio/ using index1/exhibit?
I managed to login fine... don't forget to change them asap!
Hi yeah I logged in fine - still have no home page. I even managed to get into phpmyadmin and follow Vaska's post on recreating your index page..... but I still just get error messages. My password was never the issue it is my Home Page that won't load - try naryn-davar.ca
This is the issue I am trying to fix, not a password/login issue.
At this point I am ready to tear everything down and rebuild - I just purchased the new version to see if the update would solve my issues and SURPRISE all I get is this error message when trying to complete the install script:
Warning: include_once(asset/tpl/index.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/naryn653/public_html/ndxzstudio/lib/template.php on line 87
Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening 'asset/tpl/index.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib//usr/local/lib/…') in /home/naryn653/public_html/ndxzstudio/lib/template.php on line 87
This deleting of the index page seems to be a common issue with NO solution that actually works.... kinda disappointing but also very aware it's my own fault and probably my incompetence that is the issue. I just need a working website ASAP.... even if I have to completely rebuild. Trying to delete everything and install fresh now...
That error message simply means that you are missing a file /ndxzstudio/asset/tpl/index.php - you didn't upload it.
Starting over doesn't sound like a bad idea though - things seem to be confused here.
Haha call this thread resolved, I just deleted everything and made a new database. It'll be better for the rebuild anyway. Thanks for the help.
This thread has been closed, thank you.
