500 internal server error

bikejuice / 2010-10-25 12:09:59

i'm not sure if it is totally installed or not. i tried.

and got the message about "delete content.php" and followed the forum instructions to only delete install.php

after doing that i now get this message instead when trying to access http://heyfarah.com/ndxz-studio/

"The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log. "

i know it says a server error but i'm not sure what could be wrong?

"content.php"? I think you mean "config.php". I hope you didn't delete that one...sounds like you did.

Or, deleted something else that you shouldn't have. Can you see, via FTP, the /ndxz-studio/config/config.php file?

bikejuice / 2010-10-25 12:18:02

yes, i meant config.php

i only delted the install.php

config.php still exists

Something else is wrong then...look at this...

http://heyfarah.com/ndxz-studio/site/

Something else is blocking whatever on your site - you should get an indexhibit message by visiting this page but you don't.

yes, and thats what brings me here. any other ideas what it could be?

I know nothing of that other system. Delete it? I don't know...

I have had the same problem. After I installed the program, I deleted install.php. For some unforseen reason, config.php went missing. I couldn't log onto the page so I deleted all the files as well as the fields using phpMyAdmin.

I re-copied all the files and nowI get the error:
"The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log."

What should I do??
Thanks

BTW, while I was re-copying the files via Cyberduck, I got the message
"FTP Error: Upload failed
/ndxz-studio/lib/access.php"

I pressed "Try Again" and it appeared to be okay.

Does is have something to do with the problem?

Thanks again

The config.php file does not delete itself - and the previous person has issues with another system on her site.

Recreate the config.php file, or reinstall fresh and things will be just fine.

Sorry about the incorrect posting

I just remembered: I originally deleted the "config.example.php" when I installed it. Should I re-install it, renaming it "config.php"

Is that how I re-create it?

It should be config.php and it needs the database connection info.

Sorry, I have tried re-installing the program, using a fresh download, but I still get same problem.

All files are intact and rebooted Cyberduck and Safari. Is there any other things I should try?

Sorry to hassle
