Hello everyone,
first of all, i've been reading for hours everything you've wrote about the problems writing accents and how to solve them...but i still can't fix it.

The thing is that my website (www.anacuba.com) displays the accents correctly in firefox, but not in Google Chrome. I've seen through phpMyAdmin in my database I should change the latin for utf-8, but I tried and still doesn't work. What upsets me more is that i've been comparing almost all my files with my boyfriend's site (www.salvalopez.com), and his website displays accents correctly in both, firefox and chrome. I've been looking to his phpMyAdmin, and he has all in latin, and not in utf-8, and still works.

i'm very slow with these sort of things...but i hope someone can explain what makes the difference between my website and his so I can fix the accents displaying problem!

The problem is that your site has been hacked. If you 'View Source' your code you will find a ton of links before your html even begins...and this would kill something like accents (in some browsers).

If you search the forum on 'hack' you will find a bunch of threads on the subject. You need to clean all your 'index.php' files of the bad code...should only take you 15 mins or so.

And then, we'll check again if the accents are working (I bet they will be).

Hi! thank you so much Vaska. I deleted all that weird stuff that appeared in my index.php file and it worked! I hope I don't have to do this too many times! Now I realize why some unknown letters appeared in my website from time to time in the left corner...!
