Indexhibit Support

Hi there,
I've just managed to fully install Indexhibit (I am fairly computer illiterate so am very proud of myself!!) and am ready to start building my site however, I wanted to delete the content of my old site first (I built it two years ago using Adobe Flash and have kept the same web host and domain name. I am with Compilia) and start completely from scratch using Indexhibit. Im not sure how to do this! I deleted some flash files from my FTP account. but when I go to my Indexhibit page to start editing and creating my new site, my old site is still there! Anyone any ideas about how I can fix this and start making my new site?!
Also, are there specific requirements on size or format of any pictures I upload?

Hi there, assuming that you have followed the install instructions to the letter, then you should just be able to delete index.html from the root(base) folder of your server.

Pictures should be .jpg .gif or .png, and resized for web use (save for web, quality 70 should be fine if you use photoshop)

Im pretty sure I installed everything properly, I have access to my Indexhibit account which allows you to edit your site and upload images etc. It's just that when I click on 'View your site' in the top right hand corner, my old website is still there, and Im not sure how to get rid of it. Any ideas? Thanks for your quick response to my last post!

I can see your site just fine. You need to clear the browser cache...hold down the Shift button and click on the refresh button on your browser. Might need to do this a couple times...and then your new site will appear.

Thank you, this seems to have worked! However, I have one more little problem (if this is a problem), in that when I was playing around trying to get the new Indexhibit site to come up, I managed to delete something from the Indehibit editing page.... Where I originally had 'On-going', 'Projects', and 'Info' on the left hand side, with 'About this site' and 'Main' underneath the 'Info' section, I now only have 'Main', as I managed to somehow delete 'About this site' and am not sure how to retrive it, or if I even need to? Any help with this little problem?!
