Hi all

I've done all of the installation up to the point of entering the above address. When I go there is gives me an error message- the generic "error" placeholder from my hosting site.

What am I doing wrong? I thought I had uploaded all of the indexhibit files correctly, and I changed the permissions to 777.

One thing I am thinking it might be related to is that the site I am working on now is just one site that I have, so its root folder is not the standard Index or "/." folder but a separate one. Is this where its somehow getting confused??

yourwebsite.com is a generic way of saying 'put your website addres here'. You are meant to substitute your actual domain address

No, I understand that and I am putting my website address in there.

Still, its giving me an error message (with my site, NOT "yourwebsite.com")

ah, well, and what address your not yourwebsite.com may be? ;-)

oops, sorry I posted that twice.

Here is my site's name: www.nealreinalda.com, so with the install stuff its http://www.nealreinalda.com/ndxz-studio/install.php

sorry, thanks for your help!!

right, no problem: you have uploaded indexhibit into a subdirectory: http://www.nealreinalda.com/indexhibitv070e/, so your install file is in http://www.nealreinalda.com/indexhibitv070e/ndxz-studio/install.php

Unless you have a reason for placing it there I would recommend to move all indexhibit files up one level directly under http://www.nealreinalda.com/, skipping the indexhibitv070e subdirectory. That way, when your site is working it will be located directly under the root http://www.nealreinalda.com

ahh, that makes sense.

I have a bunch of sites under one account so I was worried it was just something I had misplaced back and forth somehow, and this makes sense.

Thanks so much!!
