Indexhibit Support

Please help my website has been working fine, and it all looks ok I am not receiving any errors. BUT when I try and edit my site everytime I press edit it will log me out of indexhibit admin area.

I have read other threads and I keep hearing that hacking could be the problem, although other people are getting error messages that have this and I don't. I recently set up a new website using the same ftp server so i dont know if anything has gone wrong there in terms of changing the root location for my other website ekatedesign.com.
IS there any advice or sugestions you could please give me?

I'd be massively greatful if someone can help me asap, I have to make an urgent edit to my mums website I did for her, she needs her personal address taken off in a matter of personal emergency.

I can't give you any better advice than what's already been given for this kind of trouble.

I would suggest that you replace your index.php files with fresh copies, and see what happens

warning: be very careful: there's many index.php files, all the same name but each is different and specific to its own folder, be sure you replace with the correct ones

Hi - I have tried Pernin's advice and it still keeps logging me out of indexhibit.

I've also asked an expert that helped me build it and he doesnt see anything that could cause this in the code and files.

Whats funny is I hadnt even touched the website in the time it happened. Are you sure it not something your end?

I've also contacted my host 1and1 and after they looked into it for a while they said that is something that would have to be looked into by yourselves or advised by.

I built this site for my mum it took months as its really tailored and different from the basic structures. It would be devastating to have to build it again all because it logs me out when i try and press edit.

Is there anything you can do or suggest please?

The site was likely hacked...I see traces of that on the surface with just a quick glance.

The site itself doesn't even work right now.

Backup the 'ndxz-studio' folder right now - even with the bad code.

Reupload a clean version of root 'index.php' file and see what happens. You will additionally need to find the obtrusive code and edit it out in some places.

You could also replace the system files but you must avoid the /ndxz-studio/config and /ndxz-studio/site folders (another reason to backup before you do anything).

You can save this...it's not such a big deal...unfortunately sites to get hacked for many different reasons...

Thanks for this advice Vaska. Its strange as there was no error until after I sent this post, so I was just wondering if that was an additional problem or if there linked to my original problem of being logged out.

I've followed what you said and the site is actually up and running again now I replaced the clean version of root 'index.php' file.

Are you able to advice me on sorted out the logging out when I edit problem? BIg thanks!

Perhaps there is a specific file or two that deal with the indexhibit editing and they are corrupted? Can you point me in the right direction? Best thanks!

Check every index.php file throughout your ndxz-studio folder and look for hack code - remove it.
