Only permalinks / no thumbs ?

hnrkei / 2012-06-05 20:38:02

Can anyone tell me where to look and/or what to do, if i want my exhibit to start with permalinks/fullsize image, and have no display of thumbs. And then with the next / previous buttons just like it is now.

I have no idea if this is advanced or quite easy.. ?
Any indputs are welcome! Thanks.

That doesn't exist actually. Yet. Give us a day or two and it will appear - I'm going to add this to the visual index format.

Is it effective ?

No, because I have been spending nearly all my time helping people. Soon enough...

Ok thanks Vaska, this new version is so pleasant to use !

Even now I'm only just discovering features. ;) I like permalinks on the Visual Index, and as mentioned here, it could be a sort of permalink Slideshow I suppose?

Vaska, am I right in thinking that the permalinks option has its own css or something? When I have that option on it goes to the linked images then loses any additional DIVs I've added to the main site.

7, funny, i had the same problem today. permalink option lose the connection to the index.php and connect to media.php. so put all what you need in the media.php too.
btw. the sources-php for permalinked pictures is the plugin.submedia.php.
with any try and error and vaskas 2 sentenses under "help" you can edit the submedia.php to an permalink-slideshow-format. good luck! and tell us how it works ;)

Hi Lux, ah right. I think I follow, so extra HTML stuff has to go in media.php for this to work? I'll give that a go now anyway...

Yeah, editing media.php with my extra HTML makes this work ;)

With what you say about the plugin.submedia.php and create a "permalink-slideshow-format"....I don't follow ;) But what I have now is virtually a slideshow using permalinks, I guess. :s

Are there any updates on the permalinks/no thumbs display hnrkei requested? I'm very interested in this function as well.

Thanks for all of your diligent work on CMS 2!

Hi Vaska , is there any update on the topic above? I would love to have this type of gallery on my website!

Dear Vaska,

I have been upgrading my website to version 2, but notice also that I only can reach the permalink way of showing my images via thumbnails.

In the previous version this was not the case. I displayed all my pictures in isolation with the Next en Previous buttons.

Is there a way that I can implement the same again in version 2?

My website is willemijnsaaltink.nl.

Thanks in advance!

Hello
If you mean the Slideshow format then you can check out the beta version in the Customize section of this forum.
