Increase of the Filesize

Hi,

Im still with 0.73 and when trying to upload 3MB file (5000px -architecture plan-) i have this error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 33600 bytes) in /homez.420/orppo/www/ndxz-studio/lib/media.php on line 214

I searched the forum but couldnt get any for 0.7 version, is there a file (looked default.php and others) where i can change this limit?

Thankss!!

Because it's too big for your server. About 2.85MB too big.

Adega, are you happy that Indexhibit 2 is out? Why are you still using the old version? What's the deal with that?

Am I allowed to troll you now? What is your phone number?

Haha... ;)

Mmmm thanks, was thinking this possibility (read this when searching forum)

He he...you are allowed!! im happy with V2 but have 3 "problems", 1_ I used several plugs still not for v2 (most important right now Multilanguage) 2_ dont have enough time for the adaptation :) 3_ Im a fanboy of the "If It Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It!" (and after so much time polishing 0.73)

Anyway i'm playing with v2, running on a separate server ;)

Best regards master!!

Well i have this answer from my hosting support, will play with folder permissions (since dont know about changing permissions to a jpg on my pc...?¿):

"The maximum size for uploading a file through php is 64MB, so the error that appears is probably due to lack of permissions on the file or folder where it stands right now I can not point to another possibility."

No, the problem is that they are talking about uploading an image. What they are not talking about is the raw power their server has to process and image.

And this is what I'm talking about.

With Indexhibit 1 people didn't bother with files this large but all of the sudden they think it's now suddenly possible. Nothing has changed, it's the server and its limitations you are dealing with. It's not something Indexhibit can control.

Ok i understand, for sure they know but write to convince me :), will write again (a bit of annoying hehe)

Thanks!!

Why are you writing them? To complain that you can't process a 3mb file?

Come on, that is just crazy big. You can't resize this smaller before you upload?

What happened? People think their shared hosting accounts are Flickr now...they aren't...not even close...

adega / 2012-06-13 19:17:09

Yep, probably you are right Vaska, even uploading then the traffic would be higher.

I'm trying a workaround, resizing to 3K-4K (at this size the text can be read) and "Saving for web" getting files of 1-2MB so uploading without problems!!

;)

Uoopss... the reason for this size is i used arch. plans with Dragging/pan like this

Vaska you mentioned Flickr...is possible to somewhat link flickr images using Indexhibit formats? (hehe im almost sure this is crazy, forgive me...)

:D

Im really dense today, link here orppo.com/irudiak/beste-batzuk/

(im not trolling, seriously...) I have read from you that the problem is the power of the host for processing the resizing (for the thumbnail i guess), what if i dont need a thumbnail for an specific project (like the one i show you above), could be deactivated the "thumb. generation thing"???? (im not drunk neither) :)

This thread has been closed, thank you.
