christiaan / 2012-06-19 16:45:45

Has anyone managed to get the Ednacional theme working with v2.0 of Indexhibit?

Vaska A / 2012-06-19 16:46:29

Just update it...very easy.

christiaan / 2012-06-19 16:51:21

Thanks Vaska, is there any guidance on updating themes?

Vaska A / 2012-06-19 16:56:05

Yes, in the Help section.

christiaan / 2012-06-19 16:57:59

Okay, I'll try that tonight, ta.

Vaska A / 2012-06-19 17:01:41

Send me the files (because I have no idea where to find them) and I'll do this in 5 minutes. I can't release them on this site though because he should be the one to inquire about that - I don't want to take somebody elses thing.

Well, I didn't mean right this second. ;)

If I have a chance tomorrow I'll do it...

Hello By the way ... And how to use the old format Thickbox. And also, how to make borders around images?

christiaan / 2012-06-30 13:24:37

I don't understand the instructions on: indexhibit.org/tutorials/upgrade/updating-templates-and-exhibit-formats/

They're either not clear enough or I don't have enough experience.

christiaan / 2012-07-19 12:55:35

Would anyone care to have a stab at updating the Ed Nacional theme?

Or maybe translate the instructions into layman terms?

Why not just customize the default theme to do what you want - changing some text and background color for the index is not that hard. We haven't seen him around here for years - I'm sure he never checks this place...

I am also struggling to get the ednacional theme working (on V2.0.1) I uploaded via cyberduck in the ndxzsite folder, but when I select and update the theme on the admin panel my homepage just displays the title of my website and I cant see any content, it also doesn't look the way the theme should.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Hello jonrosselliott - did you read the thread from the begining?

jonrosselliott / 2013-08-06 13:48:22

Hi arsondpi, yes I have read the thread from the start. Still none the wiser. Sorry, I'm sure my question is very basic, but I am quite new to this. I really like the way Indexhibit works, and I want to learn!

arsondpi / 2013-08-06 13:54:37

Oh ok, sorry - the theme needs to get updated for Version 2.
It's fairly easy as long as you know css basics - to be honest, with a little bit of reasearch it wouldn't take longer than a couple of hours.

jonrosselliott / 2013-08-06 13:59:58

Ok thanks for your help. My css knowledge is non existent! I will go learn about it... I presume you update the theme by editing the files in cyberduck? Are you able to point me in the right direction as to what I should do next?

arsondpi / 2013-08-06 14:15:24

Basically duplicate and reaname the the default folder located in the ndxzsite folder.
In there you can find the index.php file which is the structure of your html template and the style.css file which is the file for your css.

Also have a look at this: indexhibit.org/tutorials/upgrade/updating-templates-and-exhibit-formats/

I'm closing this thread - it's a mess.

Individual CSS questions can be asked in new threads - one step at a time will take you very far.
