Hey I keep getting this error message everytime I try to access my install.php

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /homepages/6/d348992208/htdocs/hartwickhanson2/ndxzstudio/lang/index.php on line 14

I tried adding the php5 modifiers to my htaccess folder and it didn't work.
I'm on 1and1 hosting. Thanks in advance for any help.

It's definitely a PHP5 issue - ask the host to get you setup.

would that involve contacting 1and1? I'm sorry if thats a dumb question, I'm just fairly new to most of this stuff. Thanks again.

Yes. Ask them, in detail, how to enable PHP5 on your server.
