Changing Wordpress to Indexhibit

Hello,

I'm new to website development and have heard great things about indexhibit. I would like to switch over from Wordpress (which I absolutely dislike).

I have read tutorials/getting-started/installation/ and just had a few questions, since I'm switching website builder.

When under my FTP and I access my root, public_html, the following folders come up:
cgi-bin
wp-admin
wp-content
wp-includes

Do I delete all these folders before installing indexhibit?

Also, under fanstasticodata (not sure why it's called fantastico since I never changed hosts) do I delete the folder WordPress?

There's also a folder called www that has the exact same folders as the public_html. Is this normal to have two directories with the same files? What would I do here?

Thank you everyone for your help! It's greatly appreciated

Best Regards,
JZoSoPP

Resolved! I changed from wordpress to indexhibit and am very happy thus far.

I still had a question about the www directory that I have in my ftp. Is that also my root? I've read that roots are normally shown as either public_html or ..why do I have both...

I think you should clarify this with your host... Just send them an email. Every host has a different set up, thus the root folder could be named www or public_html or other things...

This thread has been closed, thank you.
