Hi,I wonder is it possible to make the video in
full screen mode.thanks in advance!

Yes. But I have a feeling that this does not really answer your question.

extrafunk / 2008-09-09 21:51:43

hey Vaska,

I was wondering the same thing. But perhaps i should ask how to achieve this =). I want to place a full screen video on my main page.

I checked the threads but there where not posts on this subject. Thanks Vaska!

Next version...with FLV...yes.

extrafunk / 2008-09-09 21:58:47

Okay, cool! But i guess it's also possible to customize it at this point by doing it myself, right?

This question is related to Flash, not indexhibit.

So yes, it is possible to achieve full screen videos using web available web technologies (just look at any online video site) but this is not directly linked to indexhibit per say.

If you want to achieve this right now, look for a flash player solution you could insert in your site, or learn those feature in flash and build it yourself (of course this requires more effort from your part, but it is a great learning experience).

We would appreciate too, if you achieve a decent solution, that you post your result/how-to in the forums.

Hope this helps.

Hey Antoine or anybody else who's interested,

Okay, that did help! But is there a way to put a video in the background? So that it covers both left and right frames as a whole? It worked for my background images, so i was wondering if i could do the same for my vid's?

Thanks!

Hi AntoineLafontaine A,thanks a lot,I will try it out.

AntoineLafontaine / 2008-09-10 11:34:52

extrafunk,

I'm not sure if it is possible since I've never tried it, but the only problem I can think of is how each browser would handle having some html over a flash file... Might work, might not... in any case, you'd need to use some kind of z-index setup in your CSS.

This is all speculation, so I'd be glad to see some of your feedback (and bug report) on that.

Hope that helps.

Ola Antoine,

You are right.. it's difficult to even place a single image underneath my menu let alone a video. I have no problem getting the #content to place itself underneath my menu, but when i add content the #content the images just seem to start under my menu, not underneath. See here

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Mark

If I can somehow get the content of my right frame to go underneath my menu then I can probably solve it... does anybody have an idea? I guess it's possible as people use the same technic for horizontal webpages, where the content slides underneath the menu, to the right or to the left...

Would love to hear from you guys!

I don't recommend people try this without really knowing what they are doing...really...this is not a novice thing to try.

oliver / 2008-09-10 13:14:40

hey mark, you need to set your menue to:

  1. position: fixed;
AntoineLafontaine / 2008-09-10 13:15:58

Download my crabs (horizontal) template and look at the source code... the CSS (by default its commented out) in there can make the content run behind the menu. (Please look in the file carefully before asking more questions).

Hope that helps.

Hi everyone,

Antoine was right.. I can place a video underneath the menu, but once it starts playing it seems to overwrite the menu. So the video layer goes on top of the menu layer. This only happens when the video is playing.

I wonder if anyone has placed video in a horizontal template. Then it would be possible...

jaredh272 / 2008-09-10 13:41:58

The video, playing, stays under the menu in Firefox 3.0.1 on a mac.
