Hello,
I created a new data base, and new user name of this base.
But the installation page of indexhibit (where is asking me this staff), is not going forward, and says like: XX config.
Why is this happening?
thank you!

Can you ask your webhost to confirm that your connection info is correct? We don't know it - it's unique to your website.
I am having the same issue. My webhost has confirmed the information I am putting, and it continues to say the same thing (xx config). I've tried even several ways of putting my database username as I've seen suggestions to do this in other threads, and nothing.
suggestions?
I'm also running into the 'xx config' issue and have confirmed my information with DreamHost as well.
...that's strange - I installed in a dreamhost server just yesterday...
You can check/change the details yourself if you login to your dreamhost jost panel - it's under MySQL Databases...
I am having the same issue. Has any solution been found yet?
Did you read my first post in this thread?
hi ndxz'ers
i'm also having a major headache getting past mydomain.com/ndxzstudio/…
i've double checked my database server address with my host (namesco.co.uk btw) and tried several variations in my config file - both as the config-example and as the original indexhibit install...
but all i get is either:
XX There was a problem. (evidently so)
or
XX check config (which i have - several times)
is there anywhere else i could be looking to correct this error?
thanks
User privileges on the database perhaps. It will work if the info is correct and the database user privileges are good.
thanks vaska
updated my database privileges to the absolute maximum - still no joy.
tried amending the relevant file properties from the recommended 777 as described to the possible permutation of 755 - still no joy...
hmmmm - thanks for your response but i think moving to an alternative host is my last option.
i'll let you know how i get on lest anyone else have the same namesco problem.
thanks again
same here: xx check config. I checked config file, it's 777. what else should I try?
I am hosting with greengeeks. they confirmed my info was correct.
I never posted an update. It was my mistake, I had a space after my login. Once I deleted it, it worked.
