Warning keeps coming back: Cannot modify header information

Hey there!

I have a problem that keeps coming back.

when I open my homepage michel-lamoller.com this here shows up:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /mnt/web8/c1/30/53487630/htdocs/ndxzsite/plugin/format.visual_index.php:757) in /mnt/web8/c1/30/53487630/htdocs/ndxzstudio/lib/page.php on line 92 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /mnt/web8/c1/30/53487630/htdocs/ndxzsite/plugin/format.visual_index.php:757) in /mnt/web8/c1/30/53487630/htdocs/index.php on line 166

So the images and everything appear, just this annoying lines are displayed at the top of the page...

In the forum I have learned to solve the problem, by replacing the named .php files with fresh ones. but after some days it just comes back, maybe the line numbers or files change.
The named files are either in ndxstudio/lib or in ndxsite/plugin. so there seems to be a conflict.

Any help is deeply appreciated!!

Best, michel

Have you been customizing any files on your server?

alepu / 2012-11-11 19:04:58

Yes I have. Everytime the bug showed up I exchanged the files that it said would double- send the header information. So I think that in the meanwhile some php files have been exchanged.
I also have problems now moving the position of my uploaded images, editing my galleries.

I mean, I just exchanged the files. I never changed their content though, I am an amateur.

That error message often means that there is empty space at the beginning of one of your files - most likely a plugin or format.

But, I don't see the message on your site at all...I don't see any problems.

Have you tried shift + browser refresh? Perhaps it's a browser caching issue. Also try a different browser for comparison...

I deleted the errors this time, no they are not there. My problem is, that after some days the error shows up again, without me having changed anything. So I thought that maybe I have damaged something "deeper"....

That doesn't make sense - if it's an issue with files then how are the files being changed? That doesn't happen automatically...

How did you 'delete' the errors?

alepu / 2012-11-11 19:39:02

by exchanging the files that were named in the error. so here for example I replaced "ndxzsite/plugin/format.visual_index.php" with the one with the same name from the indexhibit folder that I downloaded for the installation.

Are you editing these files before things start going weird?

alepu / 2012-11-11 19:43:12

You mean if I changed text in them? No, I never edited them.

Vaska A / 2012-11-11 19:47:12

Well, something is changing the files and Indexhibit doesn't do that with no reason at all. I think you are being hacked...

alepu / 2012-11-11 19:47:50

ok... do you know what i can do about it?

Vaska A / 2012-11-11 19:48:47

No idea. But, I haven't even seen a problem on your site yet...

alepu / 2012-11-11 19:49:48

ok, I will write again when it will reoccurs. Thanx a lot for your help!
