Well... you need to have the original image as a square format.
Otherwise making a non square image into a square one, will look deformed...
but there's no way to use the smaller side (width or height) of the image as a parameter to fit the full image into the square, without deform (in a way that the image don't fill the entire square, leaves a empty space on the top and bottom OR on the sides of the icon, depending the format of the original image)?

It crops the image according to longest side using a bounding box - there isn't a way to do what you want unless you want borders (which is odd).

vaska, and if the borders isn't a problem to me (because my images have a white background, if I leave a white border it wouldn't really look like a border), can you show me wehere I can change de code to make the full image, without deform, at the square thumbnail?
