Slideshow latest files?

britagranstrom / 2012-12-05 18:27:02

I came across the thread elsewhere on the forum earlier about the Slideshow beta, and downloaded the files. Of the 4 files in the download (format.slideshow.php, jquery.slideshow.js, plugin.jxs_slideshow.php, slideshow.css) only format.slideshow.php was not present in my existing 2.0 Indexhibit download.

My question is, do I replace all the files that are already present, or does my fairly recent download of Indexhibit 2.0 include the correct files, and if so why is the format.slideshow.php file not included with that? I realise it's a beta, but as the beta thread was closed that suggests the updated version of slideshow is now finished?

I'm assuming that when you fix bugs and add a function like slideshow you'd add and replace all relevant files to the master Indexhibit download, but this has confused me.

Hope you can explain, thanks!

Yes - certain files will be overwritten.
Just wait though - it will be worth it... ;-)

How long will this wait be?

I'll post them later today. It will be another beta round - but it's very close to bug free right now.

OK thanks Vaska, can you let us know where to download the new files, when they're ready. looking forward to it...

"Later today" - it's been 48 hours soon. Just sayin'.

Oh no! I'll post them in a bit... ;)

I have a terribly annoying CSS bug that I've been trying to track down for a hour now - even Firebug can't see what is the cause of this. It's very apparent, I have to resolve this before I put these files out - even in another beta round.

Well, just as I was getting frustrated it came to me. I've reopened the previous beta thread:

indexhibit.org/forum/thread/16931/2/

Closing this thread - continue with that one.

This thread has been closed, thank you.
