are you using thenine's code? or rcairns code+tutorial?

I would like to have the accordion effect without the other open menus closing whenever another is clicked. Does that make sense?

I have tried the tutorial above on my site

I have uploaded the js file to the js folder and amended the index.php file of th sample style. However, the expanding menus still don't work for me. Can anybody see what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks.

Just bumping this back up. I have been trying but still haven't figured out what I'm doing wrong here. Thanks.
