image upload not working

isq / 2012-12-17 17:43:16

I've gone trough many threads on this issue but I still couldn't find a solution to my problem. Strangely as it may sound, in ndxz-studio's the "image upload" window disappeared and now on its place I see my website's homepage... A similar thing happens when I try to logout of ndxz-studio, it doesn't actually logout and I get redirected to my website's homepage.

I've been in contact with my webhosters, changed my permissions to 777, but the problem persists. My webhosters said they did all they can, that it's not from their side..

Do you have any further suggestions? I would truly appreciate them!
Thanks in advance for your help,
Inês

I forgot to mention that my website link is: inesquerido.com/

I've seen problems with that host before...

So, it worked for a long time and then suddenly it did not?

Exactly, all of the sudden... I've been using this host for more than 4 years and so far never had any major problems.

The website is working perfectly, but my ndxz-studio is a bit of a mess, I can't upload new work, I can't logout nor enter in the "settings" page.

What do you recommend?

Thanks again!

Is it worth trying to re-install indexhibit or the problem will only be solved if I transfer my website to another host?

You can try reinstalling - keep in mind not to overwrite config.php

I reinstalled indexhibit and recheked the permissions of /files, /files/gimgs and /ndxz-studio/config, all is set to 777, and unfortunately the problems remain...

Will transferring my website to another host solve the issue?

Sounds like your host setup mod_security (or simply new rules) that has killed your site. Ask them if they are getting anything in the log and then they can adjust accordingly. That's all the advice I have on this...for it to randomly stop working is pretty strange (and too bad your webhost can't tell you what was changed).

Thanks a lot for the tip Vaska, I had explained thoroughly my issues to my host and kept insisting with several emails. It seemed they weren't able to help me until I said the magic word: "mod_security". They've disabled mod_security and all went back to working perfectly.

It's not a great technical support if I have to name the solution in order for them to help me..

Thanks again!
