Problems with upgrade

I recently attempted to upgrade to the new version of Indexhibit. I followed all the steps on the "Upgrade to version two" page. After making all of the changes, I was unable to get my site up and running, so I decided to start from scratch.

I went through and deleted all my old exhibits and sections (I still have the backups saved) and started over. Now, I'm able to update all the pre and post-nav stuff in the sidebar and page background images, but every time I try to add an exhibit or section and upload any data it shows "No input file specified" when I try to visit the page on my browser.

On top of that, every time I try uploading new images to an exhibit, I get the grey boxes. I've tried resizing and adjusting max image sizes and file formats. Nothing works.

I'm wondering if I simply have some folders switched around in my FTP and things aren't pointing to the correct place. Does this make sense?

Admittedly, I'm a bit rusty on all this stuff as I haven't done a complete overhaul in over a year now.

Help please?

Hello!

your mod_rewrite/htaccess is not setup correctly.
There's a few threads around about this: indexhibit.org/forum/search/
Just check out the Enable Clean URL's in the Help section.
Also check if the files/dimgs/gimgs folders have the right permissions.

dimgs and gimgs should be located in ndxzstudio/files correct?

Also, where should exhibit images be located on my server once I upload them? dimgs or gimgs?

Now I'm back to getting this error when I attempt to upload images:

Error SyntaxError: Unexpected token

arsondpi / 2013-01-09 21:23:09

"DO NOT upload the /files/ folder as you already have this.

Add a folder called 'dimgs' to your /files/ folder.

Next, place 0777 (0755 if your host permits it) permissions on the following folders:

/files/dimgs/
/ndxzsite/config/"

You don't upload your images via ftp. You do it the same way you did in the old version, from the backend.

As for the Error SyntaxError: Unexpected token error check this thread: indexhibit.org/forum/thread/17105/

I'm lost...

Should dimgs and gimgs be in the root folder or in ndxzstudio/files folder?

I realize I do not upload images via FTP.

Also, is it possible to input numeric permissions on GoDaddy? All I have is the text:

"Web user permissions

Read     Write     Execute(Directory)
Owner permissions

Read     Write     Execute(Directory)"

And I have them all checked at this point.

Thanks for your help!

dimgs and gimgs are supposed to be in the files folder.
Since you're upgrading the dimgs folder does not exist and thus you need to create it and give 777 (or 755) permissions to it.
To edit permissions and upload stuff it is strongly advised to use an ftp application (like Cyberduck or Filezilla)

OK done.

I'm still getting the same error message though.

DOH!

I've sorted it out now.

I had the files folder buried in ndxzstudio instead of the root folder...

Thanks for all your help and sorry for any inconvenience.

You guys rule.
