blocked from my own website (ftp, cpanel, etc)

hi there.
ever since i installed the new version of indexhibit the following started happening:
every time i try to update my website via indexhibit, i am instantly blocked from my ftp, cpanel and from even viewing the website in my browser.

i've contacted my hosting company and they said it doesn't look like my ip address has been blocked by their firewall. it's been happening for 3 months now and i'm at a loss as to what the problem is.

could this be related to me updating to version 2? have you had this happen to you?

please advise! thank you for your help.
here is the link to my website

could this be a compatibility issue between indexhibit 2 and my host hytekhosting.com/ ?

Everything seems fine from where I am (Africa).

Hold down shift + browser refresh (do it a few times) and see if it helps.

This could be a very nasty browser caching issue.

It doesn't help - it actually blocks my IP address? I tried 3 different computers at the same IP address and they couldn't access the website, I couldn't log in to the FTP or the CPanel. But if I move to a different location I can access it again - until I try to update my website through indexhibit. Then it blocks me again.

"it blocks" - I'm assuming it's my webhost's firewall? could it be blocking me because of indexhibit? i've never had that problem before...

someone just suggested that the web host doesn't recognize indexhibit and that maybe i'm being blocked by their mod_security??? sorry i don't actually know what this means. but is there a way to fix that?

No, that wouldn't be it. You need to talk to them about that stuff...

It works great for me and I'm a world away.

This isn't an Indexhibit issue - something is not right on your end (browser or router caching issue, bad IP, somehow hosting issue but I doubt it).
