Connection to site was reset

Hi. Am hoping you might be able to help me with this. I was creating a new database in my hosting control panel and accidentally deleted my indexhibit website database while i was messing around with it. I created a new one and updated info on config.php and re-uploaded but to no avail - it just now says 'connection to server was reset.'

i contacted my web host but and sent me this message which i don't really understand!!
"I have checked with our engineers, and as per troubleshooting, this is
definitely an application layer issue - serving another simple php file
from the same webroot (or even overwriting index.php with new content)
will be served correctly. They advised you to do debug the application."

my site is howley86.com

any help would be much appreciated! thanks!

It's mostly likely that you did not update your config.php properly. So, yes, of course Indexhibit isn't working. You simply need to get the connection info correct - ask your host for help with that information.

All your data and preferences were stored in the database.
I'm sorry to say that now you that deleted it, it's gone.
Unless your host keeps backups of your database and site. You can kindly ask them to restore your site and database to the last working version.

Apart from that if you want to start from scratch (by creating a new database etc) you will need to reset the details in the config.php file or by reuploading indexhibit (do not forget to keep a backup of your theme and any changes you made - formats, plugins etc).
