Made site in test folder, now trying to make it "live"

Hi all, I recently installed indexhibit in a subfolder to work on, but intended to later transfer to the root folder to make it "live." Now that I've tried to do that, though, there seems to be a disconnect. The index page exists, but all existing galleries as well as any new gallery I create refuse to show up. I have a feeling they are being routed to a subfolder that no longer exists. Where are these galleries and how do tell Indexhibit studio to route to the new address (in the root folder). Do I just have to start from scratch (please say no)?

Okay so I've re-uploaded the subfolder terryrowlett.com/newsite and it all works fine. I assume this means that the problem has to do with installation, and that means I have to reinstall in the root folder?

No, you don't need to reinstall. We rarely advise people to reinstall around here - it drives me kind of nuts that people always say this.

You simply need to make sure that you move all your Indexhibit files to the root - all will be good when you do that.

I was hoping you'd say that! The only reason I thought otherwise was because so far I *have* uploaded all of the files into the root- it appears that none are missing (although I understand that one probably is). Can you tell me which section is responsible for the location of the exhibits themselves? That seems to be the problem.

You are missing the .htaccess file.
