I read all threat about it on the forum, but it seems not to be solved yet.
I need to run an animated gif using the "documenta + overlay"
Could you please help me, i start becoming mad with that.
If somebody could post a step by step answer (for very beginners).

This is a workaround and you must not fiddle with size or any other image adjustments:
Upload the gif as you normally would and then re-upload it via ftp.
This way the file will stay animated but as I said you shouldn't touch any image adjustments whatsoever.

and thank you so much for your quick answer.
But i'm afraid that i am such a nut that i didn't succed.
Here is what i did:
Upload the gif in the "exhibit manager" (no eror message, everything seems to work properly)
Then I re-upload in filezilla ( i re-sent the file from the local part toward the server. Then it asks me if i wanted to replace it, i did it)
Back on indexhibit, i refreshed the page, but it still didn't work.
About the format:
I tried different options. witch one does not change the size?
-over and over
-Horizontal
-A "grow" or "overlay" picture (fullpx) from documenta format
If you understand where i mistaken myself, tell me.

So you change 15_animProcess.gif and th-15_animProcess.gif in your /files/gimgs/ folder ?
Because they're not animated : julienpautret.fr/files/gimgs/… and julienpautret.fr/files/gimgs/…

It works. I forgot to reupload "15_animProcess.gif" and "th-15_animProcess.gif" files !
I know it was probably very easy but all this FTP plateform looks a bit complicated to me !

You can't change your exhibit image or thumbnail settings now - or you will lose your animated gif.
