Indexhibit Support

When I press Create, I just get a gray screen.

Inspecting the page with Firebug shows that a 'facebox' div is being shown, and that it has a 'popup' div that has a 'content' div that is entirely empty.

Also, the 'ndxzstudio/?a=system&q=plugins' and 'ndxzstudio/?a=system&q=assets' pages give me a 403 Forbidden error :(

Any help would be very appreciated.

Ask your host if they have anything in their mod_security log for your site and to adjust accordingly.

Otherwise, it's a browser caching issue with javascript and you should reupload /ndxzstudio/assets/js/ and Shift + browser refresh a bunch of times. You could try another browser to verify this...
