Chronological exhibits linking problem

channel83 / 2013-02-15 17:12:25

I'm curious as to why that the exhibits under the 2010 of my site link to the exhibits in the 2008 section? If I click on 2d or Video under 2010 they link to the 2008 / 2009 exhibits.

Have you been using subsections?
Have you tried publishing off and on the exhibits?

Yes, I have one subsection entitled "work" which is set for chronological indexing.

I will try un-publishing and re-publishing the exhibits now.

I just tried re-publishing the exhibits on and off, it resolved the issue for the 2011 section, however exhibits in my 2010 and 2008 sections are not linking correctly now.

Could this be a file directory issue on my ftp?

Subsection are still experimental.

Plus, they *might* work better if you publish to an actual section instead of the root section.

I see. How would I go about publishing into an actual section instead of a root section?

Okay, I believe I have gotten everything published into a section instead of the "root" / main page of my site, I'm still experiencing linking problems between different exhibits. I've tried publishing on and off, all of my exhibits several times, but nothing seems to work.

You are using Chronological? I don't think that works and there really is no need to use it anymore (it will be removed in a few months altogether from the CMS).

What's happening is all of your paths are the same - you are naming them the same and subsections are still experimental (I've warned people that there will be problems using them many times).

I was, but I changed it to default and re-published the individual exhibits - this has seemed to have resolved the problem with linking issues using Chronological indexing with subsections. However, I do hope to see a build with the subsections fully functional, this is because I generally like to organize my work by date then by specificity. Anyway, I'm glad to see things are working for me now - thanks for all of the troubleshooting and advice Vaska.
