Premature end of script headers: index.php

Hello,

I have had a site built with indexhibit for longer that two years, and suddenly two weeks ago it went off and I started getting Error 500. I contacted my host because some maintenance process had been performed and I thought that would be the issue; but then they told me that there is some programming errors on the INDEX.PHP file. I know no coding and they do not offer programming assistence. I don't think I have done anything to the index file, I had not even opened it until now.

it is exactly the same as mine, but then again, I don't know if this one is fine.

I have tried restoring from a backup, I have tried uninstalling indexhibit, filezilla and creating a new database and everything. I don't know what else to do, nor wether I could get a new index.php or fix this one or...

my site is at santiagofmosteyrin.com
Please, any help would be great for I am really lost right now -and I am in the middle of some selection process and I need to show some work on this site...

Thank you very much!

santiago

What is your site?

It sounds to me like your changed the database login/password...

Yes, you need to check the database login and to see if it's in good order.

It amazes me that webhosts, who you pay every month, can't help people. Especially after they did "maintenance" which killed your site.

Yes, I forgot the password and I had to change it. Do you need it?

Vaska A / 2013-02-21 20:14:57

No, THAT is the problem. Update your /ndxz-studio/config/config.php file with the new info.

The database seems to be alright, I press the check and repair button and nothing wrong happens. But when the site went off, after a few trials I restarted everything, deleted the database, created an new one and reinstalled filezilla and indexhibit. And then my hosts restored the site, but maybe did not reconnect the database? Is it possible? and can I fix it?

thanks a lot.

Yes, I already told you in my previous post...

I have tried it. I edited it in the File Manager i have at Bluehost, and I can see it changed in Filezilla. But still the site does not display.

(and thank you, this is being more enlighting than anything I've been told in a week

Hi Vaska,
I was getting your posts with some delay. I have changed the info of the database and password, but I'm still getting the 500Error.
Is there anything else that I can do?

thank you

Hi,

sorry to keep asking but I haven't been able to fix my site, even after reconnecting databases and all. I am also trying to get help from Bluehost, but I don't know what the problem is yet, nor who can help me solve it. Could you confirm that the index.php file that I am using is correct? Bluehost told me that it had "some errors"...

thankyou

santiagofmosteyrin / 2013-02-24 13:13:47

At Bluehost they keep saying the problem comes from the index.php as "Premature end of script headers: idex.php".

Vaska A / 2013-02-24 14:02:01

Yes, but it worked just great before their maintenance.

I have no idea what happened here. I think you need to start over...

santiagofmosteyrin / 2013-02-24 14:55:29

The coding of the index.php file is alright then?
I have tried to uninstall and delete the database but it didn't work out.

I don't know what happened to your site. Dealing with the database is something we can't control - you can ask your host about how to do that part.
