Creating passwords for certain pages of my website

Hi guys,

I was wondering if any of you could give me a hand with creating a password for my portfolio site.

Originally I used the plugin.site_password.php on the indexhibit admin tools but that locks up the whole site instead of having a password on my home page.

I then tried using a code I found on javascriptkit.com (javascriptkit.com/script/script2/…) which gives me the kind of password access I want. Unfortunately, it doesn't function properly since it seems to keep refreshing each time I type something into the text box. And for some reason every line of text is appearing as a link?

Anyway, in short the question is -
How do I create a functioning password box on the home page of my website?

Any help would be great!

You don't need any of that.

Simply go to Admin > Settings and enable Passwords. Then, for each exhibit, go to Page Options and input a password.

It's that simple...

Hi Vaska,

Thanks for getting back to me.
I tried what you suggested and it worked like you said!

Was wondering if you knew how to make the password box appear in the index section rather than as an exhibit?
