Indexhibit Support

I have uploaded the files inside my indexhibitv070e folder into my domain folder. ftp no problems. changed permissions on all files. 755 to 777 no problems.

Now I am at the install step and it all goes wrong. each time i direct my browser to xxxx.com/ndxz-studio/install.php

all i get is 404. nothing. I wrote my host provider. bluehost. they looked into the install and said:
I apologize, but this particular issue is specific to your script's code and configuration, and is not something that I can directly support. I wish I had more information to provide, but I would recommend that you visit this script's support site for additional information on what may be causing this problem, and what can be done to resolve this.

Used that one in the browser too. Still takes me to 404

Xxx.com/nxdzstudio/install.php and i get 404. Been doing it for hours. Delete from ftp. Reinstall. Rewrite permissions. And enter root in browser. Nothing. Wrote indexhibit. They said ask around here. Man what a drag.

What is your site?

"what a drag" nothing. It amazes me that your host can't help you find your files.

If it is the site listed in your profile - check your .htaccess file or perhaps the root index.php file - there is something installed there referring to "app" and that has nothing to do with Indexhibit. Right now, until that is resolved, this is not an Indexhibit issue.

What will i be looking for with regards to my .htaccess file or my root index.php file

I hate to be green, but i am not entirely familiar with web language or vocabulary. What would be referring to what app?

There is something else blocking your entire site from functioning - it's either in the root .htaccess file or index.php file. It's pointing to another system (which is not Indexhibit)...

there was not a .before my htaccess file when my indexhibit file unzipped. I added one. now when i go to
williamandmoth.com//nxdzstudio/…
I get: Database is not installed

any takers. I understand this may require some hand holding. I am appreciative of anybody's efforts to help.

I have created a myqsl database, on my server.
Should I have the database located in williamandmoth.com ?
I have no idea how to direct the content into that database. Is that what I should be doing?

Yep - ask your host for more info about creating a database or login to your hosts control panel and do it on your own.

extremely strange. was working on it all night and day. was still getting :
database not installed. accidently left off the /install.php and hit return. say that i did that and added it viola!
and I am in.
Why is that?
Completely confusing.
To be quite honest I am not sure that this was not an indexhibit glitch like my provider mentioned.
