Visual Index and Masonary

Hi,

I am trying to create a visual index front page with links to exhibits, which runs in 3 columns - ie. images are all fixed width eg. 285px but vary in height to their natural orientation, so a landscape image might end up 100px whereas landscape 550px (for example).

Is this possible using the visual index format or would I need to use CSS or another jquery plugin like columnizer or masonary to achieve this and manually insert images and text for each project as a link? For obvious reasons, my preference would be be to maintain the modularity of having a CMS rather than start creating a manually coded menu.

Thanks, M

For example something like this:
fabulosius.de/

Have you tried the Documenta format?

No I haven't, I thought it only arranged the images in one exhibit (there is no option to change the media source) - can it function like the visual index?

Documenta is only specific to one media source. It does not function like Visual Index that way.

We don't have a Masonry adapted exhibit format but you are welcome to customize.

Oops! I didn't read the "with links to exhibits" part. Sorry.

Thanks Vaska/bister - I'll give customising masonry a try then.
