Horizontal Exhibition

Hello

First of all I would like to thank you for Indexhibit.
I'm trying to customize Indexhibit for a small website. I didn't purchase it, but I can send you the name of the buyer for whom I'm trying install Indexhibit.

So, everything works fine. But is there any way to modify the horizontal exhibition plugin in a vertical exhibition plugin?

The two columns are perfect. I need text in the left column and images in the right column. But instead of scrolling horizontally, I would like to scroll the right column with the images vertically.

It would be great if you could help me!

Thank you very much!

Kind regards
Thomas

Hi Thomas,

It would be helpful to include the website.
This way we can see what you have so far.

Hello Ian

Thanks for your response. The website is still offline.
I'm talking about the standard horizontal exhibition plugin which is included in Indexhibit V2. As I told you, it nearly is perfect, but I would like to scroll vertically.
Any idea?

Thanks
Thomas

Will it be complicated to change the horizontal exhibit into a vertical system?

arsondpi / 2013-08-07 06:36:25

You mean the Over and Over format?

Steinle / 2013-08-07 11:02:13

Not exactly. The Over and Over format has just one column, the horizontal has two, I think (one text and one for pictures).

I need two columns; one left with text and the other one right with images, which can be scrolled vertically while the left column with text keeps its position fixed.
I know that I can do that manually with html and css, but a exhibit format would be smarter to update in the future for other users.

Will it be hard to do that?

Thanks!

arsondpi / 2013-08-07 11:25:09

...you need to update the format itself - its html and css parts. Not that difficult if you know your way around with code.

Steinle / 2013-08-07 11:55:27

Okay, thanks. Do you know which exhibit format will be the best to start with?

arsondpi / 2013-08-07 14:05:51

The over and over format.

Steinle / 2013-08-07 17:27:55

arsondpi, thanks for you advise. I took a look a the over and over format. I succeeded to influence the div, which contains the images (img container) via base.css. But I can't find a solution to control the behavior of the text. How can I create a new div container in the over and over exhibit form for text?

Please excuse my ignorance of that, but I don't know how to start. I think I need a small push in the right direction. Thanks!

arsondpi / 2013-08-07 17:54:07

You need to wrap the text box content in a div. Coding skills are needed for this but if you're patient you can do this.

Steinle / 2013-08-07 21:40:00

As I see, the text content has no specific container.
I can't find the text box in the over and over exhibit form.
