Using Index Link with Visual Index to link to specific pages/exhibits

Hello, I am sorry if this has been answered before in the forum (I cant seem to find it if it has).

I would like to use the Visual Index on my home page to like to some (not all) pages on my site (which will not be visible in the menu). I can get the Images to show on my home page and appear to be linked but the link I am putting into the Index Link section is not working at all! The image just links to the Index Link page and not the address I have inputed. I am setting Visual Index on my Home exhibit then creating the other exhibits I want to be linked to. What am I doing wrong????

My site is.... jimmyimage.co.uk

Many Thanks

Visual index works in a variety of ways and serves different ways to showing media.

It can work as a simple format like you're already using it in the Headshots exhibit.

When Visual Index is selected in a section exhibit and Section is selected as your media source, then the first image (or cover image) of all the exhibits under that section will be shown as a series of images that link to each exhibit.
It's now a Visual index of the exhibits with linked images (and titles if you choose so)

I don't really understand what you mean by "The image just links to the Index Link page and not the address I have inputed"
The hotlinking to the exhibits is done automatically. The exhibits just need to be under that section...

I hope this helps.

And its as simple as that!! :)

I don't know why I couldnt figure that out! I was creating the page I wanted, then using the 'index link' option via 'create' thinking that was the way to do it!

Many thanks for your help (once again), you are helping my site come along (slowly as it may be!)

Cheers

Jimmy
