I am building a website right now which is mainly based on the Visual Index format with the 'Permalinks' slideshow. You can view and try the demo here:

Right now you have to click a thumbnail to start using the slideshow. Would it be possible to edit the code towards that the slideshow starts with picture #1 as I load the page as is so there is not just empty white space?

It's sort of that I was looking for, yes. Now it only would be awesome to have the option to have both the text-based and he thumbnail-based navigation at the same time. Possible? I am trying to mess with the two new slideshow php files right now and see if it helps.
