Cannot upload images in Firefox, Chrome or Safari!!!

KRS / 2013-10-09 08:07:49

Hello,
I search the forum, but couldn't find an answer that help me. Hope to get lucky here. I use mac os 10.7.5.

Nothing happen when I try to upload a 61k .jpg image, I click upload, and then nothing, I can cancel or close, and no image!

So I searched the forum, I upload the asset/js folder again, I try to click on the right of the "upload" without any luck…

I read that some people have the same problem, is there a proper answer to that question? Thank you for your help.

How are you using v2 if your account has not purchased or requested it from our site?

KRS / 2013-10-09 10:18:44

I send you a email this morning saying that I was unable to connect to forum with my login, ask for a new password, had no answer, so I decided to create a new account on the forum to ask this question... And yes of course I purchased V2.
But does it help?

Don't know if that help, but I just try on PC, internet explorer and Chrome and it doesn't work neither.

You other account "christian_bili" is just fine. You aren't able to retrieve another password, as well?

KRS / 2013-10-09 13:40:38

Yes if you can send the password back I'll be glad to use this proper account

and that doesn't solve my images problems, thank you

Hello, sorry to invite myself in this thread, but I have the exact same problem, I can't upload an image either. I select some .jpeg on my computer, and when I click on the "upload" button, a new window pop up asking me to select an image. The weird thing is it's happening even if I click the "cancel" button.

Thanks in advance, bye!

couteau / 2013-10-09 14:59:18

Well, as a matter of fact, this window (asking to select a file) pop up any time I click anywhere in the upload window, except for the exit button.

couteau / 2013-10-09 17:22:12

Ok, I managed to upload an image, using firebug on firefox : I added a position : absolute on the "submit" button, which allowed me to click on it. Otherwise, every place on the upload window was part of the "select a file" button. Maybe it can help to figure out where the problem come from.

Hi, I have the same problem that couteau has. I cannot upload an image, because every place I want to click is always "select a file" and the images don´t charge. Thanks for your help

Did you try a different browser?

KRS / 2013-10-10 06:59:12

Yes as I said, I try on Chrome, Safari on Mac
and I E, Chriôme and Firefox on PC, with the same lack of result…

arsondpi / 2013-10-10 09:06:39

First you Add files and then you click the Upload button.

KRS / 2013-10-10 09:18:03

yes that what i do, but when I click Upload the same window open

couteau / 2013-10-10 12:44:39

Oh yes sorry, I said "submit" but it's "upload". So when you selected a file on your computer, you just have to open firebug (f12). My english is bad so I took a screenshot :

[/…]

-1. I clicked on "inspect an element" in firebug
-2. I clicked on "select a file"
-3. Then I clicked on "input", in firebug, in bold.
-4. I scrolled down in the css part in firebug, until I found a propriety which goes like this : transform: translate(-300px, 0px) scale(4); . I just desactivated this propriety, and I've been able to upload my file.

It is only a temporary fix, because when you load the page again, you just have to do it again.

KRS / 2013-10-10 13:28:54

ah! futé couteau!

so you think it's ok to delete this line from the css?

KRS / 2013-10-10 13:39:54

M E R C I
T H A N K S

trispm / 2013-10-10 18:28:30

I had recently try in Safari and I can. I prefer to work in Firefox, but if Safari works, it's ok. Thank you!

couteau / 2013-10-15 08:28:08

Well anyway, you can delete anything you want in firebug, it's not permanent, anytime you load the page it resets every changes you made on firebug.

This upload problem was ok in firefox 21, but 24 is useless.. upload images was fine when you clicked on the right hand edge of the 'upload' button, but FF_24 is no go.. I reverted to FF_21

This thread has been closed, thank you.
