Hey guys,

It seems I cannot find any way to insert an *swf banner into my site - maybe someone could help me with that? The banner is a charity one..:)

Upload it as any other media and attach a cover image to it.
It will then appear...

Once you upload the swf file, click the Edit (tools) Icon.
There's an "Attach cover" link, with which you can attach an image to any kind of media that will be displayed.

well but there is a banner in this *swf, and I need to display the banner, not another image.. or I do not understand smthng?

Oh - you'll then need to embed this manually as code, either in your index.php, in your formats or in a text area box.
