reset.php 404 error

natephipps / 2014-01-29 15:51:44

so im trying to update my website which i havent touched in a few years.

i tried to use the reset.php however my web host (blue host) gives me a 404 error "file not found"

i assumed this was because i moved folders around on my pc thus they were lost. so i tried to put all the folders back where they were originally (my docs: indexhibitv070e: ndxz-studio: reset.php) but im still getting the 404 error.

sorry i am pretty clueless here. i read through a bunch of threads but dont understand most of them. if you could point me to a thread with my answer in it i can decipher what to do but i cant even identify which threads to look at.

thanks SO much for you help.

404 error means that the url that you're input is not valid - the file may not be there or that you're typing something wrong.
If your domain name is pointing to the indexhibitv070e folder then you should exclude indexhibitv070e from the url address to reset your site.
If your domain name points to the root directory then you should include the indexhibitv070e folder in the url address that resets your site.
