background color won't change.

Has anyone else experienced this? I chose a new background color but now I can't change it to a different one. It's stuck. I tried emptying the cache and cookies and it still won't change.

^ What? You have a background image there...of course you can't see a change in the background colors.

Have you edited your stylesheet? Did you remove the plugin that deals with the background color change?

I've had the same issue trying to revert a background to white.

Strangely enough, i've found that changing it to some random colour first, then to white it worked. try to do it in two stages, see what happens.

This also happened to me tonight. I'd change the Background color to "not-white" and checked it and it looked fine. When I changed the Background Color back to white, saved it, and refreshed the site, the Background Color hadn't changed back to white.

I had to pick a third color, save it, then pick white, and save it again for it to work. Hope that helps anyone with the same issue.

Hello, I have the same problem over here and even when changing the background to any different color won't change anything.
Did anyone have the same problem? What could it be?

bertalexis / 2009-07-15 17:54:05

any idea anyone?

Vaska A / 2009-07-15 18:01:25

Because you have taken out the code that drives the background color. You have too many things going on...making things very complicated.

bertalexis / 2009-07-15 18:53:53

Yep, that's what I was guessing as well.
So I believe the way to go is to start over with the original files and rewrite it progressivly, right?
Do you think I should do it for all the files or just for the CSS for instance?
Cheers

If it was me...I would put the background plugin back into the template and see what happens.

  1. this plugin
  2. < plug:backgrounder color='<%color%>', img='<%bgimg%>', tile='<%tiling%>' />

Just in case anyone comes with this problem as well.
Took me a while stumbling around but I found it. ;)

Hello. I had the same problem. Im changing background colours like crazy but i cant get it to be white (or any other colour than red, for that matter). The worst thing is that i CAN'T delete that section, the trash bin icon desapeared from view...

so, now, I have a link to a red section, which I don't want at all.
Any help, please?

marioguerson / 2011-02-02 14:27:11

(wheres the "edit" button in this forum?)
I also CAN'T turn "publish" to off.
Why is all this happening to me?

Buzz / 2011-04-15 15:11:13

I had the same problem changing the background colour in an exhibition back to white after I set it to a color.

If I drag the color picker to the white corner it won't work, but if I click exactly in the white corner without draging it worked for me!

I tried it a several times and had no more problems.
