Indexhibit Support

Hi,
I have followed the tutorial and am still not able to install. I created a Mysql database and user. I uploaded indexhibit folder contents to web root public_html which i confirmed with hostgator as correct. after i successfully changed permissions to 777 however i still got the 500 internal server error. my htaccess file seems to be fine.
What should I do for the next step...

I also have the same problem!

I never had any problems with installing indexhibit. user for many years, numerous websites.
same problem for days now with my new host. what worked for me, changing php 7 back to php 5.6. :) :) :) in my control panel
i could not find any solutions on the web either.
there really is no alternative for indexhibit. thank you so much. i'm glad i paid for it. it is the best cms
