Apparently was was hit with the dumb-ass-stick as a child

But I think I have read just about every 404 post in the forum multiple times and I still haven't figured out how to redirect all my 404's to home or the main page if you will.

Please help with a how to for dummies.

You haven't renamed your htaccess file yet, you should rename it to .htaccess , starting with a period.
