Use source file with GD Library

Hello.
Is there a trick to make Indexhibit use the original source file instead of the one that is generated by GD library in fullpx?

My original files are optimized for web - small file size and sharp quality. The GD versions are lossy in quality and twice (or more) the filesize.
The last upload that I checked was 253 KB before and 721 KB after GD library.

As far as could see in the forum there was no solution to this problem but I have the feeling that this could be easily changed with some php-skills which I don't have.

Cheers

Okay, let's say i hope it could be easily changed...

You can customize exhibit formats to use the source file.

GD is really not that good. I have been testing off and on for too long Imagick but it too has issues - is not perfect. Hope to release it in another month...fingers crossed (it's so much work).

Thank you for your answer and all the work you put into Indexhibit Vaska. Could you just tell me where to make the customization? Are php-skills required?

Yes, PHP. It's not that simple - you do need to know what you are doing.

Okay. I would hire you if I wasn't broke all the time. Thank you.

If you would integrate an "original file" option in the update I would be really excited! Cheers & Thanks again!
