I am not able to upload any images to my site please help I do not understand how to resolve this. The upload window pops up and it shows the file but the bar showing that the download is happening just stays on zero

I would double check permissions. This morning I had this issue too. I changed permissions to the folders (as stated in the install instructions). This seemed to make a difference. I don't know for sure if it was the solution, as I was fiddling around with other settings too, such as database access on the MySQL side.
