Slideshow plugin not showing caption line breaks

cnitsch / 2019-10-26 16:31:25

Is anyone else having problems with the Slideshow plugin?
The image title and image caption are appearing as just one long sentence, even when I hit Enter for a carriage return (line break).

Is this the way this plugin formatting is supposed to be?
Or is it my problem?

I looked at format.slideshow.php and the coding is a little bit different than earlier versions of Indexhibit. i know in previous versions people offered a hack to add "\n" or "$break".
I'd like there to be a line break after the image title and for image captioning to do line breaks when I press "Enter" for the next line.

I just looked at the demo site and it seems the slideshow plugin just creates a long run-on sentence.
Is there any reason why captioning was coded to not recognize line breaks?

It also seems to be degrading pictures on upload.
I have the slideshow set to resize to 500px. I always upload my pictures at 800px, so as to have headroom for processing.

I've never had a problem before, but I'm now seeing major pixelation and or blurring of the image.

Actually nevermind. The blurring was a problem on my end.
Apologies.

Still trying to find out why the captions don't recognize line breaks or carriage returns and just appear as one long run on sentence?

Anyone know why it doesn't have this formatting capability?
Here's an example.
