/indexhibitv070e/

Hi

I know there are a few threads on this topic. I'm a bit confused. I don't know how to make my website open at www.jeanpaulfrancisco.com and get rid of the index page:

Index of /

* .ftpquota
* cgi-bin/
* indexhibitv070e/

4UH HTTPD Server powered by Apache Server at www.jeanpaulfrancisco.com Port 80

- There is not an index.html file for me to delete and I'm unsure how to modify the index.php?

Just take the contents out of the indexhibitv070e folder, you're supposed to upload the contents not the folder.

Thanks cruz, I've moved the files and deleted the folder but now every thing that was located at /indexhibitv070e/ndxz-studio - my indexhibit studio is Not Found.

I guess because that is where I logged in and set it up its all a bit screwed. Should I start again?

sorry this is the first time I'm creating a website. I thought I'd fly through the installation part before I sat down and read a bit more about html and css. Just shows how the smallest mistake can throw things completely off course.

But, it's all there...

The page loads fine and I can get into the studio but when I click on the anything in the right side exhibit menu - Home, Illustration etc... I get:

Not Found

The requested URL /about-this-site/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

???

You didn't move your htaccess file. Re-read the installation instructions about that part (it's at the end).

WARNING

When you change the name of the htaccess file to .htaccess it will become invisible. FTP applications, in there preferences, have the ability to view invisible files - enable this if need be.

If your host has already placed an .htaccess file on your server you should proceed with caution. We recommend backing up any existing files and/or be prepared to ask the webhost for more information and help editing the file.

OOOps! I'll try moving it. I'll have to - Disable Character Encoding Verification Dialogs - is that right??

Before I try - I've already deleted the indexhibitv070e folder.

jpfrancisco / 2009-08-20 21:05:11

Can't find it. I think I deleted it with the 'what I thought was an empty indexhibitv070e folder'...

jpfrancisco / 2009-08-21 08:03:19

How can I proceed now? Can I replace the .htaccess file?

Yes...if you read the installation instructions it's clear what you need to do.

This thread has been closed, thank you.
