deleting indexhibit

webstar / 2009-09-17 10:45:26

i've decided to remove indexhibit from my domain, but i've hit a problem. i deleted the ndxz-studio folder and uploaded a new index.html page, but when i go to my site i get the message:-

Warning: main(ndxz-studio/defaults.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/m/a/mydomain_org_uk/index.php on line 9

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'ndxz-studio/defaults.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php/') in /home/m/a/mydomain_org_uk/index.php on line 9

please could somewhere help me fix this ?

should i remove the index.php file ?

thanks

thanks vaska

are these also part of the indexhibit installation (and safe to delete) ?

files (folder)
htaccess (text doc)

I don't know if it's safe...what do you have in those files? Just go for it...we don't know what your particular setup is like.

not sure i want to "go for it" if i don't know what they are.

the "files" folder contains :-

ndxz.users.php

and a folder called "gimgs" which contains three pairs of duplicate images that have the following prefixes :-

3_
sys-3_
th-3_

the htaccess file contains this text :-

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule ^(.+) - [PT,L]
RewriteRule ^(.+) index.php

do you recognise any of these as being related to indexhibit ?

ask your webhost?

Just delete it all. But, I really don't like taking responsibility when people don't know what they are doing...especially when they are deleting things.

I get paid the big bucks for all of this...whoopee...

i'm sorry vaska - i thought this was a forum where people who don't know what they're doing could go to ask for help.

however, your advice is much appreciated.

No, it's fine. But you are asking about something that could potentially have other repercussions. If it's good it's good. I do get plenty of email beyond this forum from people who have messed things up...and it's wearing me out.

Today wasn't a fun day for me.

Good luck with your new site.
