desinstallation-reinstallation

Jonathan91 / 2009-10-02 11:00:37

Hi,
I've deleted all the files there were on my server, (to re-install a new version on indexhibit) except the 'requetes'folder because my server don't let me do, maybe it's the cause of the following problem. I've alredy uploaded the new folders, changed the permissions of the three folders. Normally, everything should be ok, but I can read on my page : www.jonathanpreteux.eu/ndxz-studio/install.php 'The requested URL /ndxz-studio/install.php was not found on this server.' and in my tab 404 not found

Is the 'requetes' folder the problem?
Is it a problem with my server? or with my host?
Tell me what I'm supposed to do please.

I've already tried to desinstall all folders, and reinstall them but in vain.

are the folders in your root folder? You have to delete all tables in you database before you start over and that you're supposed to replace the info in file config.php (database name, database username, database password...)...
Try the search box on the left using keywords: reinstall and config.php.

Thanks for your answer,
I think I'll need your help later. I realise that I didn't tell you I was a dummy for that ;) So I'm gonna try...

Hi,
ipcountry, ndxz_media, ndxz_objects, ndxz_objects_pref, ndxz_sections, ndxz_settings, ndxz_stats, and ndxz_users are tables? this is what I'm supposed to delete?

Vaska A / 2009-10-02 13:33:22

Yes. Just the 'tables'...not the 'database' itself.

Jonathan91 / 2009-10-02 13:38:17

Ok, it's done. I've deleted all the tables, replace the info in config.example.php (don't find the config.php folder). I've changed the permissions. Annnnnnd...No! Nothing has happened. I don't know...
is there anything else I can do?

You don't see the files?? this is strange, I've put it at same place the other ones were. So it should be visibles.
I keep on reading topics about it...
Jonathan

You see files?

http://www.jonathanpreteux.eu/ndxz-studio/install.php

I don't see anything...files not there.

Jonathan91 / 2009-10-03 10:15:02

Hm ok, it means files aren't there.
But I've checked on two ftp application, cyberduck and filezilla, files are there and at the good place.
Is it a problem with my host?

Vaska A / 2009-10-03 10:31:02

No, if the files were in the right place we could see them. Yes, this is not an issue with Indexhibit - ask your host for help figuring this out.
