Main Page Image Container Size?

kdake / 2009-11-02 02:18:17

Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble, somehow the image container is stuck at a specific size and I don't know how to get it to not do that. Any image I upload is automatically resized to fit in the dimensions of 460px by 600px. I feel like I've tried everything, does anyone think they can figure it out?

Thanks

image > max size > 600px (page editing, on the right) ?

Try "full pix"

I'm afraid I don't know exactly what you're talking about, I am wondering where in the code I can change it so it will quit automatically resizing my pictures. Like if I were to upload say a 800px by 600px image, it automatically resizes it 460px by 600px, and I'm wondering which file and code are dictating that so I can go in and change it.

No code
...as Mathieu said while editing an exhibit click the Image Max Size options in the pale yellow box next to the text area.

OH ok I see what you're saying BUT the problem is, I can no longer see or edit the section/page that shows up on my main page, if that makes sense. Like I know the url for whatever image shows up on my front page is www.kelseydake.com/images/frontpage.jpg so the only way I can change my front image is to upload a diff file with the same name to my server. I've been through all of the sections on my page and can't find where this elusive img code is at, does that mean its written in an index or style sheet somewhere, and that I've accidently deleted something I shouldn't have?

OK yeah, I can't find the section containing the code that's displaying on my page is essentially the problem. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

You have inserted an image with the file uploader not the image uploader (below the text box).
Search the forum - others have also misunderstood what each one does.
Try asking the guy who helped you out with your site in the first place...

Hmmm ok I guess I'll keep looking, I'm the only person who's ever touched my site so I had to of done something along the way.

so I just looked into the file uploader thing and I have never used it before, so it's not that.

I figured it out!
I ran the site reset script and the section containing the code reappeared and I was able to edit it.
