Hey guys,

I am in the middle of installation, when I have to log into http://www.yoursite.com/ndxz-studio/install.php but I get this!

Error 404: NOT FOUND!
Your browser cannot find the document corresponding to the URL you typed in.

Any idea whats up?

My host is 1&1 and my server is streamline.net
So far everything seems to have gone ok, but my page isn't wanting to work....?

Help! :(

Ruairidh.

with your address it could be possible to help you.

(I'm tired to ask it twelve times a day)

Hey,

I'm having the same problem. My URL is kellywalsh.com.au and my host company is crazydomains.com.au, and I've been using Cyberduck/Safari.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Also I've uploaded the files from the indexhibit folder to my public_html folder (as suggested in another thread) so I'm not sure why it won't install. Cheers,

Simiarly to Kelly, I have uploaded the contents of the indexexhibit folder to, what i believe is the root folder.

@ brightgrey:
kellywalsh.com.au doesn't exist

@ ruairidh
I suggest to verify with your host which is your root folder.
It's in the same folder as an index.html file.
I know this because entering this address tells me that you have an index.html file in the root folder.

ruairidh / 2009-11-29 23:01:52

Ok, so I called streamline support and they confirmed that the root folder is "htdocs" - so I deleted the copy of the index exhibit contents in the folder and re-uploaded it, but when I log on to http://www.ruairidhpritchard.com/ndxz-studio/install.php

I keep getting the 404 error.

Does anyone have any idea what is going wrong :(

ruairidh : cause it doesn't exist. you put it in the wrong folder. double check it.

Hey again,

I keep getting the 404 error as well and have tried re-uploading the folder contents but it still won't install - it says "No such file or directory in /home/kellywal/public_html/index.php on line 9" - I'm not really sure what line 9 is.

Thanks in advance,
Kelly

you are missing files...

Just use the search: input index.php on line 9 in the text box and answers come up; this one and this one are in the top of the search page...

Thanks I just deleted and re-uploated all the indexhibit files, seems to have installed. Thanks for all your help :)

Actually sorry to bother you again but I can't get past the final install page. I have my database server, name, username & password but it keeps saying 'Please check your config settings again'. Previously it told me to delete config.php in order to install, so I have done that but I keep getting this error message. Also is the Exhibition name important?

Thanks

Vaska A / 2009-12-03 13:40:59

No, the exhibition name is anything you want.

That note you saw means it was installed. You only need to do that if you want to reinstall. If you saw the instructions, when you are installed you only need to delete the install.php file.

You'll need to start over...delete all the tables from your database and start over with the installation instructions.

Thanks so much, I created a new database & everything is working great.
Cheers!
