Hi
I accidentally dragged my 'about this site' section from projects into Exhibits and it disappeared. It's still visible on my site but I can no longer access it to edit it.
Can anyone help?
my url is http://thomasfoley.net

I read a thread similar to this one recently - if I remember well, Vaska replied that it's a small bug...
I can't track the post...
Hi, I have kind of the same question.
My website is:
www.andreamircetic.com and it's working (god bless...)
But now I don't know how to edit it, I can't find to login and edit my site. PLEASE HELP!!
/ndxz-studio/
ha! yes I've found it, thanx a lot anyway ;)
My problem occurs on the Exhibits page when logged into http://www.thomasfoley.net/ndxz-studio/?a=exhibits page. The option to select and edit the 'about the site' page is missing.
So there is a home page on my url, but I cannot edit it when logged in to the 'ndx_studio'.
I've tried re-installing the ndxz-studio folder on my domain but it didn't change anything.
I'm sure what to do. I'm a bit of a novice with web.
Don't understand...
Sorry
The home page on my website 'thomasfoley.net' cannot be edited when I'm logged into 'http://www.thomasfoley.net/ndxz-studio/?a=exhibits page'
It just isn't there.
The rest of the pages on my site can be edited.
Dre was talking about something different.
Tommy_Type dragged an exhibit into the Exhibits link and lost the exhibit. I still can't track that similar post...
Exactly.
Thanks for articulating my words :)
I dragged it into Exhibits and it disappeared.
Found it! - but no answer as yet...
Ah I see
So do you think there is s solution here? The problem is that my site is not completed and I still need to edit the home page.
Thanks for all your help so far.
Sounds like you will need to go into your database with PHPMyAdmin and root out the problem manually.
Thanks Guys
I'll try that and let you know how it goes.
I realize this may not be the forum (quite literally) for this but seeing as this little bug is an Indexhibit CMS-specific issue is there any way that someone who knows a bit about PHPMyAdmin and the database scheme could post a manual fix solution? It seems this is happening to a lot of people.
What problem specifically are you having and what is your site?
Hi Guys
This is a bit if an old thread but I've been out of action for a while and didn't have time to chase this up.
I've tried downloading PHPMyAdmin but its far to complicated for me. My knowledge of html and code is minimal that's why I decided to use indexhibit in the first place.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling indexhibit but it doesn't fix the problem. I can't access the home page in my exhibits and as a result I cannot complete my site. I have a site that I cannot use because I cannot access the home page to complete it.
Can anyone help?
Or is there a way to completely my indexhibit account and start again?
By the way did you ask your host for help? A friend perhaps?
I would ask for a little help from my host, concerning PHPMyAdmin...
Anyhow-
Start from scratch to completely delete the database (since you can't delete its tables via PHPMyAdmin) and then create a new one...
Reupload a fresh indexhibit copy and then just follow the initial install instructions (1), (2)
I tried deleting all the indexhibit folders from cyberduck and then uploading them again. I went through the whole installation process but when completed it just brought me back to the same account with the same problem as before.
So how do I start from scratch? Do I need to contact my provider and have them reset something?
Sorry to be a pain.
delete the tables in your database
You ask how do you start from scratch - I answered. I think I was pretty clear in my last post...
delete the database / create a new one / reupload indexhibit/ install
Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude. I haven't got a clue what I'm doing and I'm a little but frustrated.
I'll try contacting my host and see if they can help.
Thanks for your help.
Deleting the tables from the database worked.
Thanks guys, I really appreciate your help.
Pheew - A little digin' can go a long way.
Happy you're back on track.
:-)
yes!, sorry arsonpdi. For me happens the same thing.
i can not edit the main page in my:
http://www.a-mx1.com/ndxz-studio/
then i delete everything in my ftp, then install again everything, and again appears the same problem..
Did you delete the tables from the database ?
I guess not. It's not on your ftp, it's on your host control panel, where you created the database and so at the beginning of the install.
sorry just trying to understand all this.
if i delete my database tables via mysql will this delete my whole website, or will it just enable me to get start editing my homepage again?
i'm missing the about this section that i need to edit.
sorry just trying to understand all this.

sorry about the three posts, no idea what happened!
...have you got an address? Are you missing the main page or do you want to start from scratch?
www.richstangroom.co.uk
i am missing the option to edit the home page. guess i'm missing an exhibition in my indexhibit control panel
Your home page is your "CV" one.
When you edit it, you don't have the trash icon, do you ?
So it is! And I can't delete it no.
Sorry I missed that.
I don't really want a Home link under the info section, but when I turn publish to 'off' it's still there. Can I get rid of the link without deleting the homepage? I've set My name to link back to the homepage instead.
just switch contents between pages! Easy...
both home and rich stangroom links are set to go to www.richstangroom.co.uk though...
aren't getting you?! sorry
...hide the page - it's the second CV link!
I'll get to you later I've changed a few bits. I'll see if I can work it out. Cheers for now!
Ok i'm stuck!
www.richstangroom.co.uk
I have the 'Rich Stangroom' link at the top going to my homepage and that is the only link to my homepage I want. I can't get rid of the 'home' link under info...
...read my last response.
When you edit your "home" page (ex-CV)
> on the right : pale yellow box > last link : additionnal settings > last…
no idea. obviously missing something real obivous
The only hide kind of option I can find is the 'Publish On/Off' in the exhibition edit screen.
swich to Avanced Mode On (in Settings)
sorry neevr saw the
'When you edit your "home" page (ex-CV)
> on the right : pale yellow box > last link : additionnal settings > last…'
cheers mate
I can not find my home page to edit it.
I want what is called my 'home' page on my site to be my main page, ie when you log on to candcweddings.com you see the black and white image which you see when you click on the 'home' link, but at the moment you see a broken link image from the previous main page I created. But I can not find the previous main page to delete it. Or how do I just make the 'home' page my main page???
Please help!
