Just tried to view my site today and received an Error 500-Internal servor error message. What does this mean?
I can't help, but I've been having the same problem (500 Internal Server Error Message) for the last few days. Normally first thing in the morning. I get the message:
'The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, mail@richardnicholson.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat) Server at www.richardnicholson.com Port 80'
When I click reload my site comes up fine. I've asked my web host what's up and I'm waiting for their reply.
Here is link to my site here
Also cannot access control panel.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

We don't see any site there...you need to figure out where you uploaded your files at. Ask your host for help with this step.
This is what is confusing. I've been active for almost a year now and just today, nothing. I am right now in touch with my host to try and figure out where it has gone. Will return with an update. Thanks.
My guess...either you accidentally deleted your site (it happens) or there is some crazy permissions issue happening.
Or, maybe even the login/password to the database were changed and not updated with Indexhibit. Or something along those lines...
Or, the database is corrupt and is either dead or you need to 'repair' things.
Problem solved, thank you everyone. Was a server side error, mysql database info was not synced with indexhibit.
Thanks again!

Not synced means?
I'm pretty sure the database connection or user privileges were changed but never updated - which isn't an Indexhibit issuer per se except that it won't work when this happens.
Vaska,
Database connection was changed due to the addition of newer database to support a shopping cart system I uploaded over the weekend. Just had to tell them to revert ndxz back to original db connection. Learning as I go.
Thanks,

Brief update re. the 500 errors I mentioned further up this thread. My host said:
I have made some minor changes to your fastcgi setup - can you let me know if this has helped the situation.
All seems well.
This thread has been closed, thank you.
